Mission and Values

My mission at Restoration Counseling is to provide professional, competent counseling that will encourage, hope, challenge and celebrate with you. It is much like the feeling one gets when talking with a good friend after a tough day.

I believe it is important to convey my values and what makes Restoration Counseling distinctive to my clients. My core values represent a model of best practices and how I conduct myself on a daily basis. Restoration Counseling is:

Christ Centered – while providing solid psychological treatment, it is implemented with a genuine commitment to Christ and appreciation for the work God is capable of doing in people’s lives.

Morally and Ethically Bound – guided by the professional codes of ethics from the American Counseling Association, the National Board for Certified Counselors, the Rules of the Tennessee Composite Board for Marriage and Family Therapy and the American Board for Christian Sex Therapists.

Directed by Integrity – our commitment to serving clients with their best interest in mind is our highest priority at all times. Privacy and confidentiality are protected.

In Consistent Pursuit of Excellence – services are provided by a fully licensed, professionally trained therapist from a fully accredited graduate school. Furthermore, services are monitored by state licensure, national certification and continued learning required to provide exceptional and expert therapy that our clients deserve.

Committed to teamwork – through networking with a select group of professional mental health care providers in the Brentwood and greater Nashville area, resources to help meet client’s needs are available.

Relational – The most important parts of our lives are the things that are tied into our relationships. The therapeutic relationship is like no different. Our entire life revolves around bringing us closer to, or further away from relationships. At Restoration Counseling we aim at helping you navigate those waters toward health and healing through a gentle appreciation and mutual respect. This is first accomplished amidst the therapeutic relationship and can then be generalized to other relationships within the client's life giving them healing from the past, stability for the present and hope for the future.

Balanced – I seek to integrate behavioral sciences and essential truths of Christian faith. Additionally, I embrace cultural sensitivity and relevancy.
